How to Purchase Air Tools

Air powered tools are one of the greatest inventions ever! Compared to manual tools they make any job easier and you can find a tool for practically every task you must complete. There are a few things you need to know before you buy these tools:

  1. Remember, every air powered tool requires a separate air compressor. Your air compressor must have the same rating capability as your tool. The hose and connection must be a snug fit.
  2. Compact compressors are great because they continue to run while providing air for your tools. They are very small and lightweight but they don't supply a large amount of air. Piston compressors, on the other hand, have a great capacity for lots of air and only runs when air needs to be adjusted to a certain pressure.
  3. Air tools come in a variety of brands, shapes, and sizes. You should be aware of what tasks you are looking to accomplish so you can purchase your air tool(s) accordingly.

How to Hang a Picture the Correct Way

Hanging a picture. It seems like such a simple task. Anyone can do it, right? Actually, there are a few things that should be considered before you place that picture on your wall. The following are hints to getting your picture to hang the right way:

  1. Having the correct tools is key. Without them, you will never be able to hang your picture. Hooks and picture nails are the most common but if your wall is concrete or brick, these will not do. If this is the case, you need a concrete screw to avoid chipping away at the wall. If the picture is particularly heavy, it may be necessary to use a plastic anchor or molly screw for extra sturdiness.
  2. Next decide where you want to place the picture. Use level tools such as a tape measure to mark where eye level is then center your picture on it. Mark the spot so you know where to place your hook or screw. Hold your fastener in place, nail or screw into the wall and simply hang your picture. Take a step back to make sure you like the placement. If so, you are done! If you feel the placement is off, adjust the wire on the picture rather than placing another hole in the wall if possible.

For such a simple task, it may seem tedious to go through these steps. If you make the effort in the beginning, you will be much happier with the results of a level picture instead of one that is crooked.

What to Look for In Playground Equipment

If you have kids or work with kids, installing playground equipment can be one of the nicest things you can do for them. It provides them with entertainment, exercise, coordination and agility, and strength.

There are a few factors that must be taken into consideration when you decide to put in outdoor playground equipment, such as: What is the size and shape of the equipment and is there enough room for it? This is the most basic question you should ask yourself upon deciding what to buy. What about the surface underneath? Is it safe or dangerous if a child falls? Are there any trees, drains, sidewalks, etc. that may be hampered because of the equipment?

The next set of concerns involve the equipment itself and whether or not it is suitable for the age and skill level of the children it is intended to entertain. Is the equipment age-appropriate? Are there any objects on the equipment that may be perilous to the kids' well-being? These might be protruding objects that could cause them to trip and fall, lines or ropes that may cause strangulation. In addition, outdoor playground equipment must be durable and able to withstand any harsh weather conditions.

There are plenty of manufacturers out there, so do your homework. Be certain the one you choose to purchase from complies with industry standards on safety. Many can custom design your equipment for your specific age group and budgetary desires. Look into what your preferred manufacturer's standards of post-sales service, shipping details, and assembly requirements. Also factor in freight, installation, and surfacing fees into your overall costs.
